There's places in New York City that you can continue to visit and the feeling that you're there for the first time will never get old. We decided that this past weekend we'd spend our time doing some shopping and acting like tourists in Grand Central Station. With the holidays here, we enjoyed walking around, snapping photos and watching the New York holiday festivities such as the light show on 5th ave. When you're at Grand Central Station, knowing how much history is involved, you almost wish they never remodeled it and left all of its previous designs along with what's left of its incredible architecture. So of course we acted as children when we got to those famous four corners, known as The Whispering Gallery. Its where you can whisper into the low ceramic arches and hear each other on the opposite side. We probably looked crazy standing in a corner facing the wall, but hey who cares! We have decided to start HIS & HERS outfit posts as a new feature on the blog. My boyfriend and I, both value each others opinions when it comes to something we might experience together or something as simple as our fashion sense. So I find it important that people realize that fashion is all about the way you want to express yourself and what makes you feel good. I believe in him and we compliment each other since we do have very similar interests in fashion. He's really into what's modern and in trend before its actually in trend whereas I always throw in my vintage opinion. For example, my recent obsession with everything from the 1920s and probably overdo-ing this old-fashioned finger wave hairstyle. I am this close to cutting my hair but I tend to get mermaid legs when I get close to serious.

Big news for the blog, we have a new collaboration coming up, unfortunately until its in ink I cannot give too many details but for now just stay as excited as I am. AND if you don't know already, the blog is going BILINGUAL, so please welcoming our new member to the Vivir Moderno Team, our translator, Natalie :)
Hope you guys are having a wonderful week! Let me know how you feel about all the changes coming to the blog.

ADOORABLE

I was in an newly opened UO's in Manhasset, NY recently and I couldn't get over how much I loved their dressing room doors. I really enjoy walking into stores and appreciating the industrial feel they have to them. I even put my new willis pal in for a feature shot :)

MY PRINT OBSESSION

Polka Dotted print is so perfect, as you may all notice, it is one of my favorite prints of all time. I believe its ageless, you can wear them at any point and time in your life. Its versatile, making it fun and youthful but at the same time, chic and feminine. This past fall, designers such as Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney gave polka dots a huge comeback chance! You can have a small dosage or large dosage of polka dots either way, it makes any outfit stand out.

HARMONIC.

I wanted to share with all of you my new obsession. I've been wanting to have a more organic aspect of living and since I'm on my healthy streak I wanted to change my shampoo/conditioner. It is seriously amazing, so refreshing and smells so deliciously minty. It's kind of the same feeling when you chew really minty gum but on your scalp, I know weird but trust me. I have been using it for about two months now and I can definitely see such a huge difference in shine, texture and just an overall natural look. When washing my hair in the past, my hair felt stiff and never dried normally into its natural curls. But now after using this I have such a beachy-wavy look. So Those are all the pros, the cons - to some people who are on a budget might be the cost of it. Compared to your regular $6 shampoo/conditioner, this size goes for about $22/$24. The way I shop, quality over quantity is the only way to get the best results in my opinion. Like I said, I have had it for about 2 months, I wash my hair probably every 2-3 days, and its still 3/4 full!
I had heard about Intelligent Nutrients for a couple of months now. The thing that really caught my attention was when I found this youtube video of the creator drinking his own product, thats how natural it is!! (Check out the video below)

Btw, if anyone knows of any other organic/natural products for skin, hair, etc please share! Hope this helps for those of you who have been asking :)

AIR BALLOON.

The hotel suite I stayed at this past week had the most adorable chandelier that I just had to share with you all.

h2O.

One of my new year resolutions was to make sure I drank more water then I normally do. Water is so important for you and I personally don't drink enough of it. I downloaded this App called Waterlogged (I know, why can't I be normal and just keep track on my own, right?). The reason for it is because I am constantly on my Iphone/Ipad, busy doing something so why not have another reason to upload a picture or feel good about doing something positive! The app lets you take a picture of what your drinking and record the amount and at the end of the day it congratulates you if you have accomplished your goal. Its pretty fun and now instead of having just 16oz of water per day, I am up to 72oz!

DETAILS.

(Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: F21, Rings: H&M)

I am obsessed with the Instagram App for the Iphone! I try my best to take a photo a day. These are like my go-to accessories for an everyday outfit, super simple, not too much but chic.

SISTERHOOD.

\

(Bad quality, I know)

My BESTFRIENDS in my life are my sisters. I don't know who I'd be if it weren't for them. They are what keep me grounded, keep me strong and most importantly help me stay who I am. We've been through everything with each other and I wouldn't change it for the world. When we were younger we promised each other that one day we would own every Olsen Twin movie out there because we loved them so much (still hasn't happened, maybe one day.) I love seeing sisterly bonds, I think its the strongest in life besides the ones you would hold with your mother or child. These two groups of sisters I admire fully, they are successful and extremely talented! And of course, beautiful with a great sense of style.
